Manufactured from stainless steel by Ash & Lacy, AxiAL+ is designed to deliver strong thermal performance with no combustible or oil derived components.
For projects with tight cavities, demanding U values or limited internal space, it gives specifiers another route to improve performance without simply adding more insulation.
What changes with AxiAL+?
The key change is the move from aluminium brackets with isolation pads to a slender stainless steel bracket. Stainless steel has much lower thermal conductivity than aluminium, which reduces thermal bridging through the insulation layer.
Better thermal performance
Reduced thermal bridging helps achieve demanding U values with less insulation and a shallower cladding zone.
Improved fire performance
The bracket contains no polymeric isolator pad and no combustible or oil derived components.
More usable space
Reducing insulation thickness and cavity depth can give back valuable internal floor area on constrained projects.
Passivhaus certified
AxiAL+ bracket components are certified to Passivhaus thermal performance standards.
Designed around the U value, not the bracket
Thermal modelling shows AxiAL+ can achieve equivalent or improved U values with reduced insulation depth. That can mean lower material use, reduced wall thickness and less load on the building structure.
