The Gebrik system can be applied to the following substrates:-
CLAY AND CONCRETE MASONRY SUBSTRATES
eg., dense, hollow and aircrete clay and concrete bricks and blocks. Care must be taken to ensure there is sufficient anchorage and carrying capacity in the masonry and the appropriate length and type of fixing is used.

LIGHT STEEL & TIMBER FRAME SUBSTRATES
The system must be applied to minimum 15mm thick sheathing boards, fixed to vertical studs with a maximum span of 600mm in accordance with the Belgium Specification DTU31-2. The sheathing boards are to be made from exterior plywood, cement particle or Orientedtrand Board.
NB. It may be necessary to create a 15mm deep
drained cavity between the inside face of the
sheathing board and external face of the
timber frame or apply a breather membrane
layer between the Gebrik system and exterior
board.
