Jan 2011 - Aquarian Cladding Delivers Isybrik to Hackney Housing Project.

Aquarian Cladding has received the first order for the company's Isybrik insulating brick cladding system in the UK, with 150m² of the system's SR12-03 Slate Blue Smooth finish having been specified for a housing project in Hackney.

On completion in Spring 2011, the five storey Alvares House, which is being built by main contractor Reis Construct, will provide three one bedroom and 16 two bedroom apartments for the Metropolitan Housing Trust, together with retail space on the ground floor.

The new build project features a light gauge steel frame structure, which will be clad with 20mm panels of the lightweight Isybrik system, together with an additional 914m² of the company's 60mm thick Gebrik cladding system.

Isybrik is a perfect partner to Gebrik as it enables a thinner brick veneer whilst maintaining thermal integrity, loadings and, of course, continuity of the brick finish. Isybrik is available in 20, 30, 40, 50 & 60mm thicknesses and each panel is ribbed at 75mm centres to maintain brick coursing. The 1,250mm long x 600mm high extruded polystyrene panels, fixings, cement-based adhesive and brick slips are supplied as a system and ready for site assembly.
