Dec 2011 - Gebrik delivers innovative design solutions and improved construction processes.
Responding to the demands of modern methods of construction, systems like the Gebrik insulating brick cladding system not only encourage design innovation and creativity, but also provide some significant benefits to the construction process.
For example, even though demand has fallen quite dramatically for traditional brickwork, there is still a shortage of skilled brick layers, a situation which continues to frustrate developers and main contractors. However, systems such as Gebrik allow trained installers to deliver a consistently high quality finish, but the training process takes less than a week - compared to the two to three years' that is required for traditional brickwork.
In addition, Gebrik can be installed in almost all weather conditions and ambient temperatures, ensuring that a much higher degree of confidence can be assigned to the build programme. As a result, other trades can access the building on schedule and far fewer delays should be experienced on site.
Being lightweight, the system can also be installed from mechanical access equipment (reducing the cost for scaffolding) and with up to 650m² being delivered on a standard articulated vehicle, storage is significantly easier than with traditional brick.
