We choose to work with CGL Systems due to their focus on product development, design, testing to CWCT standards and quality control and we share knowledge and experience working together with specifiers, builders and specialist installation contractors to assist with the design, specification and supply of metal rainscreen systems throughout the UK.

CGL's experience in metalworking, plus the development of patented support grid systems, have combined to develop an enviable portfolio of completed projects throughout the UK and Ireland. With a continuous focus on innovation, new façade systems are constantly being developed, including pioneering the use of different metals and finishes over recent years.

The range of finishes includes, for example, aluminium FF2, aluminium composite material, post-fabricated polyester painted/anodized, zinc, copper or stainless steel therefore we have a metal rainscreen solution to suit most budget and design requirements.

We can provide a true, fully drained and ventilated metal rainscreen with 3-axis adjustability to provide perfect alignment of façade panels and joint lines or an economic alternative tray system, used as a hybrid ventilated façade and supported by an adjustable extruded aluminium grid system. Alternatively we can supply roll-formed, light gauge 1.0 or 1.2mm thick ‘planks’ to replicate a boarding or ribbon effect, which can be orientated horizontally or vertically.

CGL have invested in pioneering product development at either end of the design and budget spectrum and where an economic solution is required with no ventilation zone necessary, we can offer either aluminium composite material (ACM) or solid aluminium (both coil-coated). Typically supported by an extruded aluminium grid this solution has a wide variety of zoning and adjustability and should be regarded as a sealed façade as the system joints are ‘pointed’ with a suitable mastic. Alternatively a push-fit gasket could be utilized at lower building levels or to omit any infill and treat the system as a ventilated façade.

Where the designer is looking to use a metal rainscreen in a more unusual form, CGL have developed a range of comprehensive and technologically advanced architectural solutions for ventilated façades using 2mm Aluminium Extrusions. There are five extruded profiles in differing shapes as standard and new profiles can be developed for your own specific project needs and desires.

With the inclusion of insulated spandrel panels, shingles and a total wall solution we believe we have a solution for any client so please contact us with your enquiry and discover our fresh approach to the concept of metal rainscreen solutions for all budgets and designers.
